I have nine years of experience providing play therapy as well as individual, family and adult therapeutic services to various demographics in English and Spanish. My work experience consists of all age groups, ranging from toddlers to seniors from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds including, homeless, veterans, homemakers, students, LBGT community and blue and white collar workers. I have hands-on experience working with various diagnoses: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), borderline personality disorders, psychosis (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar). I have received extensive training by the Department of Mental Health on the following evidenced based treatment modalities. • Play Therapy • Adult Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) • Managing and Adapting Practices (M.A.P) • Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) • Seeking Safety (SS) for Trauma and/or Substance Abuse. I am certified as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist through the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Additionally, I have an array of experience facilitating parenting classes to (small and large groups) utilizing STEP Parenting and Strengthening Families Curriculum.
