Love, the most powerful force in the universe it is said. It can drive us beyond our physical limits; it can bring us to the brink of breaking and then inspire the most incredible works of all time. Love can be a powerful source of strength, but getting a troubled teen to accept and understand that is a daunting challenge accepted by Therapy Insider.
Love as emotion is the most widely regarded and understood form. This makes understanding how love can be a powerful force fairly simple as everyone is familiar with it. But What about loving what you are doing, the simple fulfillment and joy as a result of your activities. Cedar Ridge Academy is involved in multiple civic activities, from tutoring to roadside clean up. They involve each student in these activities in efforts to build empathy for how their actions affect others.
As each teen learns to view their actions as affecting more than just themselves, they begin to crave the sense of accomplishment as their efforts are praised by those they help. One activity leads to another and they begin to experience the love of service. This love gives them a renewed strength to become successful family members as well as productive members of society as a whole.

By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy.” Troubled Teens often suffer from negative ideas about themselves leading to poor body image, depression, and low self-esteem.
